After over 650 entries into our Twittermantic competition, one of you truly poetic individuals has taken the prize! With a 140 character limit for your romantic verses we had some fantastic entries. We held a public vote on our Facebook and Twitter and after a very tight race we have a winner! Well done to @coffeewithkate for her fantastic verse below:

Love has Parma violets eyes & smiles through cherry lips. Turns hearts in to marshmallow cakes and fizzles like sherbet pips.

@coffeewithkate has not only won herself £250 of cottages4you vouchers for a romantic break away but her verse will also be placed in a Hallmark Valentine’s card available for sale at hallmark.co.uk in 2012!

And that’s not all…because we loved your brilliant entries so much, we’ve decided to also publish our 2nd and 3rd placed verses in cards which will be sold at Hallmark.co.uk for 2012 too!

@yummymumto2 came in 2nd place with the wonderful:

There’s something I need to tell you, something that is true…. it’s crazy and it’s heartfelt…. I LOVE YOU!

@em_il_y finished 3rd in our poll, offering the lovely:

It’s no sonnet, or ballad, and I suppose it barely rhymes. But it’s truthful and it’s from the heart, “I love you, Valentine”

A huge thank you to everyone who entered and don’t forget to look out for these romantic verses in our Valentine’s range next year!
