Tigs Crowned Cutest Kitty Cat
A kitty from Carmarthen has beaten cats across the country to lay her paws on the much sought-after title of the nation’s cutest cat in our Little Meow’s Cutest Kitty competition.
Tigs beat more feline finalists from across the country to scoop the title of cutest kitty when her photo provoked sighs of adoration from Little Meow’s Cutest Kitty judges, Rachel Goodman Little Meow creator; Sara Atkinson, Director of Yorkshire Cat Rescue; and Jacqueline Brown, the Editor of Progressive Greetings Worldwide. Charming cat, Tigs was rewarded with a luxury hamper packed with treats and Hallmark goodies, a photo shoot and a full range of Little Meow cards for her owner, Tracy.
Owners were invited to submit cute photographs of their companions through our Facebook page. The competing kitties were judged on the cuteness of their colour combinations, including their eyes and fur, their ability to pose and use expression, the quality of their coat and the emotional impact of the owner’s supporting written entry.
The competition was launched to coincide with the introduction of our new cute card range, Little Meow and invited cat owners across the UK the chance to prove their feline friend was the cutest. The result of an extensive customer research project, our Little Meow range includes 16 greetings cards, which combine soft illustrations and realistic cat features to create a tailor made collection that answers the need for cute kitten characters.
Rachel Goodman said: “We’re really pleased to name Tigs Little Meow’s Cutest Kitty. It was a very difficult decision with so many cute contenders. Our Little Meow card range was developed following extensive consumer insights to appeal to not only the millions of cat lovers across the UK but also to those looking for a sweet injection of cuteness in their lives. We’re felt Tigs shared Little Meow’s charm and rivalled his cuteness – he is a very deserving recipient of the Cutest Kitty crown!”
Tig’s owner Tracy Jenkins said: “We’re absolutely over the moon and really proud of Tigs. She loved having her photo taken and is enjoying the treats in the hamper from Hallmark. We’ve had her for many years now and have always believed her to be the cutest cat in the country – now it’s official! We just hope the win doesn’t go to her head!”
